      • Summaries: 
        • Backyard Composting: Learn the basics of at-home composting to reduce kitchen scraps and yard debris and how to utilize compost for lawns and gardens. 
        • Watershed Awareness & Rain Barrel: Learn about the problems associated with stormwater run-off, learn watershed-friendly landscaping techniques, and how we can all be a part of the solution to point source and nonpoint source pollution by practicing common household tasks in a non-polluting manner.
        • Attendees received either a free FreeGarden EARTH 82-gallon composting bin or a free FreeGarden RAIN 55-gallon rain barrel subsidized by a DEP 904 Recycling Program Performance Grant.

Adopt-a-Pineway Program

Our community has active individuals, families, and groups who regularly maintain specific Township roads. They belong to the Adopt-a-Pineway program.

Spring & Fall Road Clean-Up

Don’t have time to commit to the Adopt-a-Pineway Program, then consider offering some time for general road clean up, and pick a day or weekend that is convenient for you. Vests, gloves, garbage bags, and signage are provided by our Public Works Department at the Township’s Municipal building. Please call 724-625-1636, Extension 114 for details.
