Stay at Home Order Guidance
On Monday, March 23, 2020, Governor Wolf issued a Stay-at-Home order for several counties, including Allegheny County. The order will remain in effect for two weeks. This order emphasizes that individuals in the county should stay at home and distance themselves from others. Therefore, the Township of Pine and the Pince Community Center will close from Tuesday, March 24, 2020, through Monday, April 6, 2020. In the event of an emergency, please call 911.
RE: PINE BUSINESS GROSS RECEIPT TAXThe Township recognizes that these are unprecedented times and many businesses are suffering hardships as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. The Township wishes to help mitigate the effects of the crisis by allowing businesses extra time to file and pay the Pine Business Gross Receipts Tax. Accordingly, the deadline for filing the 2020 Township of Pine Business Gross Receipts Tax Returns and payment of the tax has been extended from April 15, 2020 to July 15, 2020. Any 2020 Gross Receipts Tax Return postmarked by July 15, 2020 will not be assessed penalty and interest.
RE: TOWNSHIP OF PINE CODE ADMINISTRATION AND LAND DEVELOPMENTConsistent with Governor Wolf’s directive and in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Township of Pine Code Administration and Land Development Department is responding as follows:• All UCC Building Code Inspections of permitted activities by Township Staff is suspended until further notice• All Land Development Inspections of permitted activities by Township Staff and Engineer is suspended until further notice• Acceptance of new Building and Zoning Permit applications is suspended until further notice• Issuance of permits and approvals for previously submitted applications may be delayed until further notice • Code enforcement requests will be prioritized to those items impacting the safety of citizens and physical propertyThese actions are effective immediately and will be consistently reviewed and evaluated until further notice.
