The 2020 Township of Pine Proposed Budget is available for public inspection until December 2, 2019, at which time the Board of Supervisors will vote on adoption.
The Township’s Home Rule Charter requires a balanced annual operating budget. The proposed operating budget must be presented by the second Monday of November and must be available for public inspection for 20 days prior to adoption.
The annual budget preparation is a process that begins early in the year and includes input from all Township departments. It also requires coordination with the Northern Regional Police Department and the Wexford Volunteer Fire Company in their budget process. Pine provides more than 36% of the funding for the Police andvirtually all the funding for the Fire Company, so these factors weigh heavily on the Township’s budget.
We’re proud of the efforts we make to control costs while continuing to provide the highest quality service to our residents, businesses and visitors. We also regularly assess future needs to ensure that we have adequate funds set aside when the time comes.
