Dog licenses assist in reuniting lost dogs with their owners. All dogs three months or older must be licensed by January 1 of each year.

Annual dog licenses are valid for the calendar year, January 1st through December 31st of each year.

Lifetime dog licenses are also available for purchase and DO NOT NEED TO BE RENEWED. 

Microchips are mandatory for the purchase of Lifetime Licenses. Also, Microchips are encouraged for annual dog license holders to ensure lost dogs are found.

The Allegheny County Treasurer’s
Licensing Department staff is available for residents to purchase a dog license.

Remember, according to §93-4, the Township of Pine requires dogs to be leashed.
